Breakfast Classics That Define the Diner
Breakfast is where Donut Diner truly earns its name as a local gem. The morning menu features a lineup of timeless favorites, each prepared fresh and served generously.
Fresh, Hearty, and Made with Care
For traditionalists, the 2 Eggs with Bacon and Toast is a perfect start — simple, flavorful, and comforting. The Peameal Bacon and Eggs offers a distinctly Canadian twist, while the Golden Pancakes arrive soft and fluffy, served with warm syrup for that nostalgic diner feel.
If you prefer something a bit more indulgent, the Steak and Eggs delivers a satisfying punch of protein, while the Vegetable Omelette with Home Fries offers a lighter yet filling alternative. The Eggs Benedict with Ham adds a touch of richness, with perfectly poached eggs draped in creamy hollandaise.
For guests with smaller appetites or families dining together, the Kids’ 1 Egg Breakfast with Bacon is a thoughtful addition — simple, affordable, and sure to please even the pickiest eaters.
A Nod to the Health-Conscious
Those looking for a balanced meal can enjoy the Egg White Bacon Omelette or the Greek Omelette, both packed with flavor without being heavy. These dishes prove that comfort food can still be wholesome and energizing.
Lunches That Feel Like Home
While Donut Diner is best known for breakfast, its lunch offerings carry the same charm. Expect hearty sandwiches, classic burgers, and comforting diner staples that satisfy any craving.
The Club Sandwich is a standout — stacked high with turkey, bacon, lettuce, and tomato — while the Reuben on Rye delivers the perfect mix of savory and tangy flavors. For something lighter, the Grilled Chicken Wrap or Soup and Salad Combo make for an easy yet satisfying meal.
No matter what you choose, the portions are generous, and the prices remain refreshingly modest — a rare find in today’s dining scene.
Donuts That Made the Name
Of course, no visit to Donut Diner would be complete without trying what they do best donuts.
Each batch is made fresh daily, and the selection includes everything from the classic Vanilla Dip to the Cream-Filled Donut, both soft, sweet, and perfectly balanced. These treats pair beautifully with a hot coffee or tea, making for a simple pleasure that locals swear by.

“ Another old school diner review. There were about two other tables occupied when we walked in. We got some eggs, bacon, sausages & fish and chips. The eggs were perfectly done. The potatoes were a bit on the dry side, but the kids did not enjoy their fish as the oil it was cooked in tasted stale. The server was very polite, but I wish she had checked in on us periodically - I had to get her attention for coffee refills and the bill. The kids got donuts with their meals, too - topping the experience! Overall, it was a good experience, and we will return if we are in the neighborhood. ”
“ My perfectly cooked eggs and fresh potatoes made my day. I almost didn’t stay because of the line up but I’m glad I waited. Bacon isn’t paper thin, sausages and prameal seared and juicy. They happened to be short staffed that day so I was worried the food quality and service would suffer but they absolutely delivered. The servers were just as friendly and hospitable and food on par. Only like three places in the city for breakfast but this is the only one that checks all the boxes for me. Perfect eggs and fresh potatoes, and great service! ”
“ Took my family here to eat some late breakfast and we were very happy with the service and the portions as well as the price point. We will be back for certain. This may be one of our new breakfast spots in rotation. Thank you so much and keep up the good work everyone! ”
“ First time at Donut Diner today, great experience. Food was good and Stef was great! Very welcoming and a great dinner experience. Only thing I would mention was the hollandaise sauce was a little off but amazing atmosphere. Will go back! ”
“ The Donut Diner on Stone Church rd is a busy place and for good reason. They have awesome breakfast! Service is great and my meal was very good. The bacon was done how I wanted it and the eggs were also perfect with all the whites cooked but the yolk beautifully creamy. I also took home some of their donuts which were also great! Check this place out! ”
“ Donut Diner restaurants are a blast from Southern Ontario's past (1990s) as almost all of them have disappeared from the landscape. This is one of the last (if not THE last), that has the iconic black and white checkered floors and red booth accents and keeps the original name, and still serves donuts as well as other food items. I've been here before and I would say that the service here is usually pretty good, (sometimes a bit touch and go... Either quite attentive or quite inattentive) They have a decently sized menu for the type of restaurant, for breakfast lunch dinner or snacks. Coffee was good, donuts were good, breakfast was good. On a non-food note, I really appreciated how adamant they were about patrons not leaving their dogs in the car, I really liked that they had signage about this. (I hope it was not prompted because of a previous tragedy.) I'd come here again! ”
“ Great diner, literally a classic. Wish I had found it sooner. So 50s style, lots of space, full of people. Prompt, friendly service. There's even a drivethru and if you want a breakfast sandwich, they have it here too (I haven't tried it, just saw it on their menu). I had the eggs benny which was great. Nice, thick bacon. Good hollandaise sauce. This place is right in a plaza on Stone Church. I'd seen it before a few times but this was my first time going in and it's going to be a regular place for me. I updated the photos in the front of the place and hopefully the ones I took inside give a feel for how big it is inside, as I didn't really see this from other ones posted. ”
